Code of Ethics

As an ethical Tarot reader, I commit to the following code of ethics:

  • I will treat all clients with dignity and respect regardless of their religious beliefs, gender, sexual preference and ability.
  • I will keep client information and discussions in strict confidence, stored securely in an electronic file.
  • I will read the cards to the best of my ability and conduct the reading with honesty and openness. I value client engagement and may encourage clients to connect to their own intuition via the cards.
  • If the client intends to harm themselves or others, it is within my duty of care to report such cases to the appropriate services or authorities.
  • I will recommend clients consult a licensed professional for advice of a legal, financial, medical, or psychological nature that I am not qualified to provide.
  • I will not read for persons under the age of 18 by email or remotely.  However, will read in person for individuals 15 years plus with Parental consent.
  • I will not consult the cards specifically about a third party.  While third parties may appear in the imagery of the cards or arise in conversation during the reading organically, insight will be provided as it relates to the individual present.
  • I see Tarot as a journey of self-development, empowerment and enlightenment. If a question does not lead to empowering the client, I reserve the right to decline certain predictive topics. I will offer guidance in rephrasing questions for a more insightful reading, the client will have the opportunity to decline or proceed.
  • I will provide strength-based readings which may offer possibilities or options to aid in the client’s decision making. I do not offer definitive predictive readings.
  • Tarot offers advice and insight, any decisions and actions made by the querent subsequent to the reading is their own responsibility.
  • I will be non-judgmental on a client’s personal life choices.
  • I reserve the right to refuse readings which go against my code of ethics or step beyond my ethical boundaries.
